It is a stunning afternoon here at School. The School site looks beautiful today, bathed in sunshine with hardly a cloud in the sky. Sunrises and sunsets have also been breath taking; I wonder how many more days we can have like this as the winter progresses.

Indoor Hockey Success
Over the Christmas break, several of our pupils competed at the Indoor Hockey UK Championships. This is a tournament ran independently of England Hockey, aiming to give more athletes a taste of Indoor Hockey, in a highly competitive environment.
What a fraction-mad week the mathematics department has had! Pupils in Years 4 to 6 have been going fraction crazy in the classroom. Those in Year 4 have been cutting up bread to help identity, compare and find equivalent fractions whilst Year 6 pupils have been simplifying and converting fraction Smarties into decimals and percentages.Read More
Children in Year 2 have been busily preparing for their Arts Showcase, which takes place on Wednesday 8th March. They have been making a large-scale art piece, based on the work of David Hockney. Six teams are each replicating a section of one of his iPad paintings, A Closer Winter Tunnel, February-March 2006.Read More
I hope by the time that parents read this that World Book Day has been a brilliant success and that the children have come home excited to read and be read to. I am more than a little disappointed that I was not able to be there although I did enjoy dressing up and recording a video for the children to watch about one of my favourite books from childhood, Danny the Champion of the World.Read More
