Future You: Life After SVS

The Sixth Form offers a clear, structured programme that supports pupils as they prepare for life beyond Sutton Valence School. Recognising that Sixth Formers are young adults taking important steps towards independence, we provide a carefully balanced approach: encouraging pupils to develop independent study skills, self-confidence and personal responsibility, while offering multiple layers of academic, pastoral and careers support.

Through the combined guidance of Tutors, Housemasters, the Head of Sixth Form and our dedicated Careers, Education and Futures Leader, pupils receive individualised support that is distinctive to the SVS experience. Pupils are encouraged to take increasing ownership of their future while knowing that expert advice and guidance are always available when needed.

Whether planning for university, an apprenticeship, employment or other future pathways, pupils benefit from a programme that helps them explore options, set goals and prepare with confidence. Guidance begins early in the Lower Sixth and continues throughout a pupil’s time in the Sixth Form, combining one-to-one advice, structured sessions and access to expert external partners.
