In Art and Design pupils explore drawing painting sculpture printmaking and ceramics in a calm, creative setting. They are encouraged to experiment think independently and take pride in their ideas. Art builds resilience as pupils learn through trial and error and their work is displayed across the School creating an inspiring visual record of their creativity.

Design and Technology brings imagination and practical thinking together. Pupils plan, design, make and evaluate products while considering real world use and sustainability. Each project develops problem solving teamwork and independence and helps pupils understand how ideas become working creations.

We nurture a love of language from the earliest years. Pupils develop strong reading, writing and speaking skills through phonics handwriting comprehension and creative expression. In the Prep School, teaching supports pupils to use language with confidence clarity and imagination helping them become articulate and enthusiastic communicators.

French begins in Nursery and continues throughout the Prep years. In Pre-Prep pupils learn through games songs and simple conversation building both language skills and cultural awareness. In Prep the learning becomes more adventurous with pen pals, themed activity days and interactive experiences that bring the language to life.

Humanities combines Geography History and Religious Studies to help pupils make sense of the world. In Pre Prep they explore habitats early Earth and familiar stories while in Prep they investigate broader topics and deepen their understanding of people places and ideas. Lessons build curiosity empathy and a thoughtful approach to different viewpoints and cultures.

With a child friendly ICT suite and carefully managed devices around the School pupils quickly learn how technology can support and enhance their learning. They begin with essential skills such as typing creating documents building pictograms and saving their work before moving on to app design coding CAD and podcasting. Pupils gain confidence in using technology creatively and responsibly in a fast changing digital world.

We inspire a love of Mathematics through practical fun and engaging activities. Pupils develop confidence in problem solving logical thinking and number through lively lessons and events such as Maths Week, Numbers Day and TTRockstars challenges. Learning is active memorable and accessible for all.

Our P4L (Preparation for Life) programme equips pupils with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need for life beyond School. It brings together personal, pastoral and health education and explores topics such as wellbeing, relationships, health, safety, citizenship and creativity. Through these lessons, pupils learn to make thoughtful decisions, understand themselves and others, and develop the resilience needed both in and beyond the classroom.

Science lessons spark curiosity and encourage pupils to ask questions test ideas and explore the world around them. Through hands on experiments in Biology Chemistry and Physics pupils develop a strong foundation in scientific thinking. Clubs, investigations and outdoor learning extend this excitement and give pupils many chances to discover how Science shapes everyday life.

In Year 6 pupils begin Spanish broadening their understanding of global cultures and communication. Through vocabulary games conversations and cultural exploration they build confidence and prepare for language learning in Senior School.
