Nursery Entry (2+)
We are delighted that you are considering Sutton Valence Nursery for your child. Our Nursery is available for children between the ages of two and four. Children as young as two are invited to join our Little Steps sessions, the entry point for our youngest pupils. Admission into Little Steps is open year-round, subject to available places. Children who turn three can join Young Climbers, the year before Reception. They can join us at any point during the school year subject to availability.
Sessions
Depending on availability, you will need to choose which session times suit you and your child best. This could be part-time (mornings or afternoons) or full days. There is a requirement for your child to attend a minimum of three sessions a week, as we find this is most beneficial for our children.
If you are returning to work, or require longer hours for your child, you can choose to include our Early Risers breakfast club from 7.30am.
A typical day is filled with learning through play. Children take part in early phonics, fine motor development, numeracy, creative arts, cooking, music and imaginative play, all guided by caring and experienced teachers.
Registration
When you decide that you would like to enrol your child, please complete a registration form and make the £100 registration fee using the link below. This fee is non-refundable and allows us to begin the admissions process.
Stay and Play
Once we receive your form and fee, we will invite your child to join us for a Stay and Play session. This gentle visit allows you to see your child in our Nursery environment and helps us ensure that the setting is the right fit. It is intended to be a warm, relaxed experience of life at our Nursery.
Offer of a Place
After a successful visit, we will confirm your preferred session times and send you a formal written offer of a place with an agreed start date. A £500 deposit is payable upon acceptance. This amount is refunded against your final invoice minus any additional costs from your child’s last month with us and can also be paid through the link above.
Before your child joins the Nursery, they will be invited to enjoy some brief settling-in sessions. This is an opportunity for them to start to make some friends and become familiar with their surroundings.
Early Years Funding
We offer government-funded childcare for eligible 2, 3 and 4 year olds through the Early Years Entitlements. For a full breakdown of how funding works, please see our Fees page for more detail.
