Professional Development

Professional development in the Sixth Form gives pupils the chance to explore interests, gain recognised qualifications, earn additional UCAS tariff points where applicable, and build experience valued by universities and employers. Alongside supporting university applications, these programmes help pupils develop confidence, leadership and practical skills that prepare them for future study and employment.

Available qualifications include:

CISI Fundamentals of Financial Services

Young Enterprise

Extended Project Qualification (EPQ)

LAMDA Grade 8 Public Speaking

Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (Silver and Gold)

Sports Leaders Level 3

CREST Science Award

These qualifications develop communication, research, project management, analysis and coaching skills, helping pupils understand how to present their strengths and approach new experiences with confidence.

The School also partners with InvestIn to offer discounted access to high‑quality work experience programmes, and with Young Professionals, who provide webinars, networking opportunities and insights into a wide range of industries.

We want pupils to know how to demonstrate their strengths, but also to feel confident enough to try anything once. That matters in a world that changes quickly.
