Sport and Activities

Sport and activities are an important part of Sixth Form life, providing opportunities to stay active, develop new skills and maintain a healthy balance alongside academic study. Whether competing for the School, improving personal fitness or taking part in leadership and service opportunities, pupils are encouraged to challenge themselves, build confidence and contribute to the wider community.

Sport

Sport remains a vibrant part of Sixth Form life, with opportunities for pupils of all abilities to participate, compete and stay active. Alongside competitive fixtures, pupils can choose from a range of activities including basketball, football, swimming, badminton and yoga, as well as strength and cardiovascular training. Specialist strength and conditioning coaches support pupils in developing fitness, performance and long-term wellbeing.

CCF

The Combined Cadet Force offers Sixth Form pupils a unique opportunity to develop leadership, confidence and teamwork through the Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force sections. Cadets take part in field weekends, adventure training, camps and practical skills development, gaining experiences that challenge and inspire. Sixth Form pupils play an important leadership role within the CCF, applying their training to support and instruct younger cadets while building valuable skills for university, employment and beyond.

Volunteering

Through the ASDAN Short Course, pupils identify and secure their own volunteering placements, taking responsibility for managing their time and commitments. The programme enables pupils to gain valuable experience, develop transferable skills and make a positive contribution to the local community.
