Year 5 Art Club has captured the call of spring in their mixed media masterpieces. They were given freedom of expression to interpret the word spring using a medium of their choice. Creatively, they rose to the challenge as they experimented with collage, texture, watercolours, and composition.

Colour and florals spring off their artworks and imbue a mood of vitality and warmth, along with a celebration of nature. ​

Having previously researched the impressionist art movement and some of its artists, the art club pupils included some pointillism techniques and embraced drawing en plein air.​

It is wonderful to see Year 5 appreciating the vibrancy of spring and transferring this colourful vitality into eye-catching compositions that show that spring has truly sprung!​
