Headmaster’s Headlines – 25.03.22

Senior School

Well the Lent Term has certainly flown by! The last few weeks have been particularly busy with so many different events that you will note in this week’s newsletter (and in other recent editions).

I continue to be so impressed by the pace, range and quality of experiences that we have in the community here at SVS. Today, the last day of term, has been an excellent example of all these things.

The thought-provoking Passiontide Chapel service allowed us to reflect and also be optimistic for our futures. The Baton Race was a joy to see and the ice cream-fuelled gathering round Prefects’ Lawn in the sunshine was very much appreciated by all and the final House meetings and assemblies were a great opportunity to take just a moment to congratulate each other on all that we have achieved.

I am sure that we are all ready for a good break to recharge our batteries. No doubt the Summer Term will be full of challenges and opportunities as well as plenty of joy and we look forward to it a great deal.

Thank you to all the students for their endeavours, to my colleagues for their relentless hard work inside and outside the classrooms, to the parents for all their support, and to the wider community for all you offer us. Happy Easter to you all.

James Thomas, Headmaster
