NCOs’ Final Parade

Senior School
15 Mar 24

The Head of Corps is the most senior Cadet rank in the Sutton Valence School CCF. They are responsible for organising all three sections: the Navy, Army, and RAF. On Wednesday, the Headmaster, Mr Thomas, joined us on parade to promote Filipp R (Lower Sixth) to the rank of RSM and the position of Head of Corps. In time honoured tradition, the symbol of the Head of Corps, the pace stick, is passed on by the outgoing Head of Corps, RSM George H (Upper Sixth), who passed on his congratulations and some words of wisdom for his successor.

The other senior positions for next year were announced as:

Head of Navy: WO1 Baldwin
2 i/c Navy: CPO Russell
Head of Army: RSM Nash
2i/c Army: WO2 Cook
Head of Army Juniors: CSM Padfield
Head of RAF: FS Lee
2i/c RAF: Sgt Skelly
Head of Stores: S/Sgt Sarfraz
Head of Shooting: S/Sgt Worrell

We also took the opportunity to thank all the Upper Sixth NCOs for their dedication and service as it was their final parade.
