Next week, your child will be completing a short online wellbeing questionnaire called Assessing Wellbeing in Education (AWE) during their weekly Wellbeing lesson. The assessment is grounded in established psychological research and looks at a range of factors that contribute to wellbeing, rather than focusing on just one model.
The School receives anonymised data at a whole-school, year group and House level. This helps us to build a clearer picture of how students are doing and to shape our pastoral provision accordingly. It also provides a useful opportunity for students to pause and reflect on their own wellbeing, as well as reminding them of the support available to them in school.
Each pupil will receive a personalised report, presented in a clear and accessible format, with simple graphs to help them track changes over time. We encourage pupils to share this with you and to have open conversations at home about how things are going. Pupils are also reminded that they can speak to their Tutor, HSM, or any member of the Pastoral Team if they would like further support. Further information about AWE can be found at www.awesomeschools.com and as always, please do get in touch if you would like to discuss this further.
