Wellbeing Tip of the Week
The return to school routines can make early mornings a challenge! To help, try to keep your child’s sleep schedule as consistent as possible (even on weekends). A steady rhythm helps reset their body clock and makes waking up feel less of a shock.

It has been a real pleasure to see our school community come back together this week. We extend a warm welcome to our new families and have greatly enjoyed watching the children reconnect with friends, re-engage in learning and throw themselves back into school life.

In our wellbeing lessons, we have introduced students to Whisper, our new anonymous reporting tool provided by South West Grid for Learning. Some of you may recall our previous system, the Concerns Button, which Whisper has now replaced. A key benefit of this new tool is that it allows for two-way communication: staff can respond with guidance and support while the reporting student remains anonymous. While we always encourage young people to speak directly with a trusted adult, we know this can sometimes feel daunting. Whisper offers an additional way for voices to be heard, helping to ensure that every child feels safe and supported. Students now know that the Whisper reporting tool can be accessed through the Pupil Portal, SVEP or by using the links and number displayed on posters around the school site.

You will soon receive a letter with details on how to access Teen Tips Wellbeing Hub, the online platform we use to support the wellbeing of our whole school community. The site provides a wealth of practical resources tailored for parents, staff and students.

This month’s spotlight theme is Puberty, with contributions from leading specialists who will share clear, practical strategies to help families navigate this important stage of development. In addition, the Featured Content section includes timely guidance on easing your child back into school routines and supporting them in managing any feelings of school-related anxiety.
