U13As reach county Hockey semi-finals

On 28th of January, our U13A Boys’ Hockey side travelled to Kent College, Canterbury for the annual county tournament. Following a disappointing day last year, the boys were eager to redeem themselves. The boys put in several fantastic displays, topping their group without conceding a goal in five matches.
They came up against the typically strong Eltham College side and their defence was finally broken. However, this did not dampen the team’s spirit and they fought back to finish the match 1-1 and were unlucky not to score a winner in the final moments. The draw meant the winner was to be decided by a penalty shoot-out. Unfortunately, SVS missed one flick which meant they lost the shoot-out 3-2.
We are incredibly proud of our team, who played so well on the day.
