An annual end of term tradition, this year’s whole School Baton Race was won by Holdgate for Seniors, Founder’s for Inters and Lambe’s for the Juniors. This week in First Form Science, 1N has been researching the development of telescopes as part of their Space topic.
They researched a timeline of the history of the telescope, then wrote a newspaper article on the history of the Hubble space telescope. They looked at the famous discoveries and mission operations, and wrote a speech from Galileo’s perspective explaining his discoveries to the public.
The topic culminated in the students all making their own telescope.
