Sepsis Research

We have recently heard from past parent Abi Dawson, mother to Nina (2019 C) and Hugh Harman (2020 C). She has taken on the role of volunteer coordinator and fundraiser for Sepsis Research FEAT – the UK’s only Sepsis research charity – which carries out ground-breaking work into the detection and treatment of Sepsis and COVID-19. As part of that role, she has asked for the help of the SVS community.

Sepsis kills around 50,000 people in the UK each year, roughly one every 12 minutes. One of her first tasks is to contact individuals or groups who have had experience of Sepsis in the past. As such, if you or anyone you know has been affected by Sepsis and would be willing and able to talk about your experience, you can email Mrs Dawson here – abi@sepsisresearch.org.uk.
