Emotional Drama

In Drama, we have been learning about the difference between emotions and characteristics. What are they?  An emotion is how you feel inside yourself and a characteristic is your personality, how you behave.  We brainstormed as many emotions and characteristics as we could think of and then learnt about improvisation in conjunction with these.

The children were put on the spot (willingly!) to act out an emotion or characteristic of their choosing. They could decide to do this with or without speaking.  Not always as easy as it sounds!  Following that, they were given a scenario and acted that out with a partner, who had to work out rather specific details.  Why not have a go at home, it’s like charades with a twist!
