On 27th January, a somewhat depleted 1st XI travelled to Eltham College for the County Cup Quarter-Final against a historically strong Eltham College 1st XI, who we had not beaten since 2015.

The boys started quickly and raced into a 2-0 lead before half time, following goals from Dylan Collie and Louis Hillier. The squad was growing tired and allowed Eltham to creep back into the game, pulling the score back to 2-1. However, instructions from Mr Henderson to manage the game better saw SVS maintain the lead through two goals from Louis Ridge and a top corner drag flick from captain Max Savage.

Eltham managed a consolation goal and the game finished 5-2 to SVS. This means the team travel to Tonbridge School on 5th February for the County Semi-Finals.
