Break-out Assembly: Pride in Our School

On Monday, our First Form pupils took part in a break-out assembly focused on Pride in Our School. The session was led by Ellie Frei, Senior Junior Tutor and Old Suttonian, who spoke powerfully about her continued pride in the School and what it truly means to belong. The assembly encouraged pupils to reflect on how pride is shown through everyday actions, including:

• Caring about the community we belong to
• Showing respect towards each other
• Doing the right thing, even when no one is watching
• Speaking positively and responsibly about our school
• Demonstrating good sportsmanship on the pitch, on trips and in public
• Supporting and looking out for one another

Navigating Friendship Conflict

This week, our Third Form pupils have been working on presentations exploring how to navigate friendship conflict. They have been developing practical advice, drawing on their own experiences and lessons learned over time.
Some of these pupils will be sharing their presentations with our younger pupils, offering reflections on what they wish they had known earlier, alongside helpful strategies for managing challenging friendships with empathy, kindness and communication.

Wellbeing Festival

Our Wellbeing Ambassadors are doing a fantastic job organising student-led events for the upcoming Wellbeing Festival on Friday 27th of February. This year’s theme is the Five Ways to Wellbeing, serving as a positive reminder of the small, everyday actions we can all take to maintain and strengthen our wellbeing. The festival aims to encourage students to think proactively about wellbeing and how to build habits that support them both now and in the future.
