Every two years, our Combined Cadet Force is inspected by a senior serving officer. As we have all three sections represented, the honour of inspection rotates between them. This year, it was the turn of the Army, and we were pleased to welcome Colonel Kitching.
Colonel Kitching was welcomed with an honour guard from the cadets, followed by a presentation from the heads of section. He then observed a typical Wednesday training session, including tag archery, orienteering, flight simulation, drill, field gun handling and command tasks.
The afternoon concluded with a formal parade on Prefect’s Lawn.
Sincere thanks to all the CCF officers, Major Millbery, the Headmaster, Mrs Davies and Colonel Kitching for their support and involvement in what was a highly successful and memorable occasion.
