Online Careers Event

Senior School
2 Oct 20

What is it like working in the Houses of Parliament? How do you start a career in politics? What qualifications do you need to be an MP? Young people at all schools within the United Westminster and Grey Coat Foundation will be able to get answers to these questions, and more, from two inspirational speakers at our first online careers event next Wednesday.

The WCS Insights: Political Promise webinar takes place at 5pm on Wednesday 7th October. Speakers include Westminster City School Old Boy Wes Streeting, the Labour MP for Ilford North since 2015, and Sir Peter Bottomley, a Conservative MP since 1975 and Father of the House of Commons. Both will talk about their careers and experience of working as an MP, as well as answering questions from the online audience

Aimed at Fifth and SIxth Forms, this webinar should fascinate those thinking of a future career in politics or anyone with an interest in what really happens inside the Houses of Parliament.

WCS Insights is an online career programme that will run throughout our Michaelmas term. Open to all schools within the United Westminster and Grey Coat Foundation, it enables young people to hear from experts and professionals in their field, and learn more about different career options. Future topics include finance, science, law and journalism.
