In our recent First and Second Form wellbeing lessons, we have been exploring the theme of healthy friendships. This is a stage when students are finding their way through shifting social dynamics, and it’s normal for them to experience the ups and downs of friendship. Our aim is to equip them with practical tools to manage these challenges with confidence and kindness.
Andrew Hampton, who visited our school as a guest speaker last year, has written books that I can highly recommend as a supportive resource. They offer excellent strategies for parents to draw on when children experience the inevitable ups and downs of friendship.

The Wellbeing Hub (free of charge for parents to access as part of our school subscription) also continues to provide valuable content for families. A new webinar is now available: The Relationship Between Puberty and Sleep, with Dr Mandy Gurney. This session looks at how puberty affects teenage sleep patterns, covering everything from melatonin shifts and body clocks to the impact of screens and caffeine. It also offers practical advice to help young people improve their sleep and feel more rested.
