Pets and Predators Art

Senior School
20 May 22

Our First Form Art students have been working on their new project theme ‘Pets and Predators’.

This week students have been busy learning the hand printing technique drypoint. Drypoint printing is an intaglio printmaking method that involves scratching an image into a piece of plastic, copper, or zinc with a sharp pointed, needled tool. The lines create a blur that holds ink, meaning that the print reveals the drawing. When the design is completed on the plate, you are ready to print using ink!

Students printed designs that were inspired by their pets, which included horses, cats and dogs, or predators such as lions, zebras, and cheetahs.

Well done First Form for your fantastic work, you created some intricate prints.
