Old Suttonian Hockey

Senior School
1 May 25

Last Friday evening we were treated to two excellent games of hockey at School. We welcomed back some of our Old Suttonians to play against the School’s 1st XI hockey teams. The girls’ teams pushed back first to compete for the Susannah Townsend Trophy and after an extremely fast-paced match the OS team were victorious with a final score of 5-2. Next up were the boys, and again the standard of hockey was extremely high, with the OS boys’ team narrowly missing out to the School’s 1st XI with a score of 3-2. The School therefore takes the Alex Hatch trophy for 2025/2026.

The players definitely had the advantage of running around to keep warm, as conditions were once again a little on the chilly side for the spectators. Not to be put off, every one enjoyed a post-match barbecue outside TC’s, which was a great opportunity for every one to catch up. Thank you to all the parents, pupils, siblings, Old Suttonians and staff who came along to support the teams, there was a great atmosphere and the teams definitely appreciated the encouragement.
