An annual end of term tradition, this year’s whole School Baton Race was won by Holdgate for Seniors, Founder’s for Inters and Lambe’s for the Juniors. The artist Paul Klee said, “One eye sees, the other feels”. This quote aptly describes the eye opening drawing that our Year 4 children have been doing in Art. Using their Super Power of Looking Skills, they identified the different parts of an eye and looked carefully at the shapes that create this fantastic facial feature.
Using pencils, they sketched eyes of every shape, size and colour and extended their eye drawing skills to include tonal variation and texture. They worked in their sketch books with enthusiasm and feeling; the results are truly eye-popping! Their eyes are excellent!
