In Art Club, Year 5 artists have been getting an eyeful of drawing eyes. It began with using their eyes to draw what they saw; closely observing an animal eye of their choosing. Their drawing skills were further enhanced when Mr Thompson, Head of Art at the Senior School, showed them systematically how to draw a human eye.

Portraits being his speciality, Mr Thompson demonstrated how the skilful use of proportion, tone and mark making could open their eyes to creating a very realistic representational drawing of a human eye. So, here’s looking at you, Art Club artists, for rising to the challenge by giving us all an eyeful of excellent eyes to look at!
