Outdoor Education

Outdoor Education at Sutton Valence School helps pupils build confidence, resilience and character through challenge, teamwork and real‑world experience. From navigation to night exercises, from sailing to SCUBA diving, pupils discover what they can do when they step beyond the familiar. It is energising, transformative and enormous fun.

Broader Outdoor Opportunities

Adventure sits naturally within life at School. Pupils take part in hikes, camping and outdoor challenges that take them into situations where they must think clearly, make decisions and adapt. These experiences broaden their sense of what they can handle, and they give pupils the space to find their own approach to challenge.

Alongside these core experiences, pupils can try a wide range of outdoor pursuits including riding, sailing, paddle sports and SCUBA diving. Each activity offers a different type of stretch, enjoyment and discovery.
