Building an aura of ‘can-do’ around every child.
Childhood is full of rapid change and possibility and our role at the Prep School is to nurture curiosity, confidence and a genuine enjoyment of learning from Nursery through to Year 6.
Every pupil brings their own personality, passions and strengths. Our staff take time to understand each child which helps pupils grow strong roots in confidence, resilience and independence. They discover what they enjoy, how they learn best and what it feels like to succeed through effort courage and creativity.
Pupils explore and take thoughtful risks in many areas of School life. They learn in bright classrooms, in the Forest School, in the library, on the sports pitches and while caring for the natural environment. Our Learning Powers guide them as they grow, helping them build independence, empathy, curiosity and resilience, as well as the confidence to work with others and think for themselves. These qualities shape lessons, play and sport and support pupils in becoming capable, considerate and confident young people.
We set high expectations yet keep childhood joyful. Parents often describe the atmosphere as ‘magical’ although what truly makes the difference is the care and purpose behind everything we do.
If childhood is meant to be an adventure then our aim is simply to make sure that it is just that.
