Cross Country Success at Somerhill

On Thursday, a team of 12 junior athletes travelled to Somerhill School to compete in its annual cross-country event, producing some fantastic performances across both the girls’ and boys’ races.

The girls were first to take on the challenging, hilly course in the October sunshine. Despite the demanding conditions, they delivered an outstanding team performance, with every runner finishing inside the top 50. Their collective effort secured an impressive second place overall in the team standings.

  • Georgie S – 42nd

A special mention goes to Georgie S, who stepped into the team at 9.00am on the morning of the event and performed brilliantly to finish 42nd.

The boys’ race concluded the day, with the team making a strong start and competing superbly throughout against some very strong opposition.
