Green Flag Award

27 May 26

We are delighted to announce that Sutton Valence School has been awarded the Eco Schools Green Flag Award, recognising the hard work of the Eco Committee and our Junior pupils over the past academic year.

As part of this achievement, pupils have led a range of environmental initiatives, including projects focused on reducing the school’s carbon footprint. The Juniors also created an Eco Code, now displayed across the School.

The Second Form Eco Committee explored the causes of water scarcity and ways to be more environmentally friendly. A key initiative was raising awareness of food waste, including creating a video to promote reducing waste in the refectory.

Many thanks to Mrs Nelson for leading this initiative, along with all the pupils involved, particularly her tutor group.
