Founder’s House

Founder’s House is the only fully day House in the School. Our House colour is yellow; a good reflection of the sunny atmosphere that pervades the House.

Founder’s House pupils are encouraged at all times to take pride in themselves, try their best and reach their potential in both their academic careers and by making the most of all the School has to offer.

Throughout the year, all the students are encouraged to participate in the large number of House activities on offer. There is something for everyone, from archery to the ever-popular House singing competition. Founder’s House also runs a number of special events, including film nights, highly competitive bowling trips and 'The Big Read', in which all the students are encouraged to read a certain book over the holidays.

Each student belongs to a small tutor group of about ten to 12 pupils.  They will stay with their Tutor all the way from the Third Form to the Upper Sixth, so we work hard to place each pupil with the right Tutor, and the right group of fellow students, for them.
