Careers

Young people face an ever-increasing range of degree choices and career opportunities, which can often seem overwhelming. The School’s Careers Department, through education, support and guidance, empowers our students to make their own informed decisions, which will ease their transition from School into Higher Education and the world of work.

The Careers department provides a comprehensive service to all students aged 11 to 18, to give support and guidance in order that each of them may realise their unique aspirations.

Award-winning Service

Sutton Valence School is now in receipt of two awards for its careers provision. Building upon our Gold Education 2 Employment award for our ability to demonstrate high-quality careers education, information and impartial careers guidance to all students, we have been awarded the national Quality in Careers Standard for Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG).

This award recognises the high standard of the School’s careers provision. We are the first independent school that has gone through the national Quality in Careers Standard process and the assessor commended the School’s commitment to CEIAG, the staff involvement and the comments from our students. Sutton Valence School is an affiliated member of the Careers Development Institute.
