We are always looking for exciting ways to enhance the learning that takes place within the classroom. Every year group goes on a trip and or takes part in a workshop each term with the aim of expanding their horizons, building their confidence and giving the pupils the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and understanding of the topics being studied at School.
Trips that focus on team building, as well as the residential trips that take place in Years 5 and 6, are particularly effective in supporting the personal development of the child and provide ample opportunities for them to improve their inter-personal skills. There is no question that performance and relationships back at School are boosted by the shared experience children and teachers have gained whilst they were away together.
As well as the excellent museums that London has to offer we make good use of more local places of interest. The children particularly enjoy the enrichment activities they take part in at our Senior School or that are run by the SVS students. In Years 5 and 6 the children head further afield with Year 5 taking part in a three day residential in Normandy and Year 6 getting back to nature on a Bushcraft experience in the Cotswolds.
