Sutton Valence in top 2% for added value

11 October 2016

Following our A Level success, the School is celebrating being in the top 2% for adding academic value.  In recent years, we have strived to be in the top 10%, but this outstanding achievement is the true measure of the success of the School; not every pupil can achieve A* grades, but all can improve their chances and add value to their academic profile.

Whatever their starting point, the length of our pupils’ academic journey is such that Sutton Valence is now amongst the top 12 schools in the country for improving academic outcomes.

“This is an incredible achievement”, said Mr Grindlay.  “I’m enormously proud and grateful to all the staff and delighted that our broad-ability cohort achieves such superb results.  Education is about making a difference and improving outcomes and this measure, devised by Durham University, is the greatest way of demonstrating that.  It is what we value here at SV and this is a magnificent result.”
