Sutton Valence School held its annual Grandparents' Day this week. Despite the cool weather, this was one of the most popular Grandparents' Days in recent history with more than 250 visitors at the School.
Pupils and grandparents were reunited for a special afternoon before enjoying a delicious tea together. On arrival, the grandparents were met by the children and enjoyed Year 2 singing before being escorted by their grandchildren (and occasionally a Year 5 or 6 helper for our youngest tour guides) for a tour of the School. The pupils had a chance to show off some of their work, their classrooms and desk and of course, the School's ever-popular animals. The catering team prepared an amazing feast for our visitors, who enjoyed chatting with their grandchildren as they enjoyed the day.
Once again the warmth of the School community was commented on by delighted grandparents who enjoyed both their welcome and the hot drinks after their tour around the School.
