Many of our students regularly gain county and regional recognition in Cross Country.

Equestrianism

Sutton Valence School is a member of the National Schools Equestrian Association and our riders regularly compete in a range of disciplines: dressage, show jumping and arena eventing. Having joined the NSEA in 2015 the School has already had junior and senior teams competing at the County Show Jumping Championships, Grass Roots Championships and the Annual National Championships.

The riders in the School Equestrian Team have access to bespoke athletic conditioning sessions as part of the Talented Athlete Programme. Students who compete can also choose to specialise during School activity time to ride personal horses and practise for up and coming events.

The junior and senior teams are made up of a wide range of abilities and as a School, we enter competitions over the course of the year that ensures all have opportunities to maximise their potential and achieve personal excellence. The requirement for joining the School team is that you have your own horse and transport.

Miss Davies is the Equestrian Team Manager and oversees the weekly running of the club. The School employs outside experienced instructors to take training sessions and provide further opportunities for our young riders.
