Netball

Netball is the leading sport for girls in the Spring term. We field 13 teams, including four senior squads. Major block fixtures take place on Wednesday afternoons for juniors and Saturdays for seniors. There are also mid-week games with local schools.

Sutton Valence School girls play netball

We encourage pupils of all abilities, to enjoy netball and become confident and skilful players. The girls benefit from coaching from experienced netball coaches who ensure everyone is challenged by different and new ideas.

We compete in the County Tournaments at all age groups with teams regularly reaching the finals. We frequently nominate talented girls for County Academy trials.  Pupils are also encouraged to develop their netball skills by joining local clubs such as Sandhawks and Wealden who compete in the Maidstone and County leagues

The girls enjoy various trips and activities including coaching seminars from international netball stars and trips to see England netball teams in action.  At Easter we take U16 and 14 teams to the annual Disneyland Paris Netball Festival; we are current holders of the Challenge Cup.
