In Pre-Prep pupils are given many opportunities to explore, not only in the classroom but also outside of this environment. Amongst the many activities we off are specialist lessons in PE, Music, Sport, French, Dance, Swimming and Forest School. These enrichment activities all help with widening their horizons and developing new found talents, but most importantly developing a sense of team and team spirit. Activities in Music, French and Dance, for example also help to bring a topic to life.
During their time in Pre-Prep, pupils have these specialist lessons woven into their weekly routines. There is an introduction for the youngest pupils in Nursery and then over the years in Pre-Prep we add new specialist lessons, so the pupils start to get used to having different teachers for each subject.
The Summer Term provides a time for the pupils to show their class teachers and parents, all the new skills they have been learning during the year. The term is action-packed and full of fun, with events such as the Swimming Gala, School Plays, visits out and Sports Day where balancing an egg on a spoon for our Nursery and Reception classes is such an achievement, to our older Pre-Prep pupils, where running on the track or competing in their first field events are such accomplishments. Learning outside the classroom is learning whilst having fun!
