International Admissions

Sutton Valence School prides itself on the strength of its community, actively valuing the contribution our overseas pupils make to the breadth and depth of life at this very special School. With a stunning location, top-class facilities and excellent teaching staff, our pupils thrive both academically and in their co-curricular pursuits. They receive exceptional pastoral care and benefit greatly from living and studying at the very heart of the School.

With easy access to Gatwick and Heathrow airports and less than forty minutes from the Eurotunnel station at Ashford, the School is ideally situated for pupils from countries across the world.

Boarding facilities are available for boys and girls from the age of eleven, enabling us to offer high-quality British education from Year 7 through to GCSE, and on to A Level study. Whilst our key entry points are Year 7 (First Form), Year 9 (Third Form) and Year 12 (Lower Sixth), if space is available we may be able to accommodate pupils wishing to join in Years 8 or 10.

Most of our international pupils join us to study for GCSEs and/or A Levels, but we occasionally have the flexibility to offer one-year placements to appropriate individuals. Children who join the School into Year 7 or Year 8 follow a unique Junior Curriculum, prior to embarking on their GCSE studies.

We offer excellent support to pupils for whom English is not their first language and students achieve excellent results in Cambridge English, IGCSE and IELTS examinations. Further details can be found here.

Parents or guardians may apply directly to the School, or applicants may be introduced by international agents.

To make an application or to introduce a prospective student, please contact Mrs Kathy Webster, Admissions Officer websterk@svs.org.uk
